PAAX (Tulum)’s E.P. Wallas is an auditory exploration of global proportions, taking influence from the real and organic sounds of myriad countries and cultures — from the DJ duo’s native Buenos Aires to their chosen home on the Riviera Maya, to Spain, and beyond. Music for the senses, music for the emotions, music for healing, music as a vehicle for expression — Wallas is open to interpretation, informed by the understanding that the human experience is both dizzyingly complex and bafflingly simple, depending on the combination of sensual stimuli in any given moment. To reflect this shape of life, PAAX (Tulum)’s music varies in intensity, tone, style, and content conveyed — “a total fusion like life itself”, as they put it.

Named after the Mayan expression “to craft music”, PAAX (German Wagener and Nicolas Damonte) hail from two small cities outside Buenos Aires in Argentina. Dabbling in Afro-Latin sounds, deep techno, and live percussion with guest appearances from revered instrumentalists, their music has been released on labels from Scorpios Music to Kindisch, Sol Selectas, Bar25 and Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings.
