The Evolution of Wellbeing at Scorpios

Sometimes things are best appreciated from a distance. As it happens, a recent journal publication at KOBU thoughtfully captures the evolution of wellbeing at Scorpios — from the launch of the Ritual Space in Bodrum to the curation of a new wellness experience for likeminded creators and founders. We decided to borrow their lens and share our favourite excerpts to tell you about our upcoming retreat.

On the cerulean shores of the Aegean Sea, where the rhythms of nature meet ancient energy, a new kind of sanctuary is emerging. Scorpios Bodrum, long known for its ethereal design and iconic sunset gatherings, is stepping into a new dimension, transforming from a cultural landmark of celebration to a destination of intentional restoration.

With the launch of Aegean Awakening, an immersive wellness retreat in Bodrum, Scorpios begins a bold new chapter. This six-day luxury wellness experience is more than a pivot, it’s a reimagining of the brand’s core.

A REIMAGINED RHYTHM OF WELLBEING
For years, Scorpios Bodrum has cultivated a unique cultural rhythm, where music, art, and community converged by the sea. Today, that rhythm has shifted. The pulse now aligns with the body’s circadian cycles, seasonal flow, and a deeper need for recalibration.

This evolution is anchored by the launch of the Ritual Space, a newly designed sanctuary devoted to sound therapy, breathwork, and elemental healing. It’s a physical and symbolic space where guests can engage in practices that foster balance, awareness, and vitality.

Wellness at Scorpios is no longer a side offering; it’s embedded in every detail, from design to daily programming.

AEGEAN AWAKENING: A CELLULAR JOURNEY
Produced by KOBU, Aegean Awakening (September 9–14, 2025) is a retreat designed to enhance cellular vitality, metabolic flexibility and regenerative capacity. It is an invitation to step into a new era of wellbeing, where longevity isn’t a number, but a state of sustained presence.

Each morning begins in alignment with nature’s own tempo: oceanfront breathwork, grounding practices, and movement designed to reset the nervous system. Nutrition is no afterthought. Biodynamic meals are composed like rituals, infused with adaptogens, ferments, and superfoods to support immunity, clarity and hormonal harmony.

Throughout the day, guests move through contrast therapy, alternating between heat and ice to activate circulation and build resilience. Clay wraps, herbal compresses, lymphatic massage, and guided bodywork create space for deep release. Sound healing and integrative meditation sessions bring the nervous system into coherence, offering a rare chance to truly recalibrate.

It’s a comprehensive, science-informed journey, led by Dr. Jonathan Leary, Founder and CEO of Remedy Place, the world’s first Social Wellness Club, and rooted in the belief that wellness should be as social as it is functional, as beautiful as it is effective.

"Wellness should be as social as it is functional, as beautiful as it is effective."

WELLNESS TRAVEL, REIMAGINED
Scorpios’ evolution reflects a desire for destinations that offer more than escape. Today’s conscious travelers are seeking depth, spaces where they can restore, reconnect and expand. Scorpios responds to this shift not by abandoning its roots, but by deepening them.

Music, art, and community still pulse at the heart of the experience, but now they are interwoven with a philosophy of wellbeing that values both presence and pause. Evenings are marked not only by beauty but by meaningful connection, conversations on fasting protocols, regenerative sleep, and emotional resilience, shared over botanical elixirs beneath the stars.

Here, along the ancient Aegean coast, longevity is redefined. Not as a number, but as a state of vitality. A way of living well and fully. ■
