A record combining sounds, cultures and influences. PAAX and Cape Town’s Sakhe The Conqueror join forces to bring people together and empower young creatives.

This is a record infused with signature groove, blending catchy guitar licks from Cuban player Emilio Campos Rojas with Sakhe’s lyrics, ones that encourage us to drink the water of life (or to take the music as a message of healing, in and of itself).

In addition, renowned producer Jean Claude Ades provides a club focused remix, sprinkling uplifting melodies to channel the essence of the setting sun. All proceeds from the record will be donated to the Cape Town NGO, Bridges For Music.

Named after the Mayan expression “to craft music”, PAAX (German Wagener and Nicolas Damonte) hail from two small cities outside Buenos Aires in Argentina. Dabbling in Afro-Latin sounds, deep techno, and live percussion with guest appearances from revered instrumentalists, their music has been released on labels from Scorpios Music to Kindisch, Sol Selectas, Bar25 and Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings.
